Nursery Plans

We're finally breaking ground on the nursery!  It's taken us awhile to get an idea of what we want to do with the room... not to mention color scheme.  Since we're not finding out whether we're having a boy or girl, it was key that the room be gender neutral.  But we both weren't feeling the yellow or green either.  So enter aqua... with a mix of primary colors!
Matt and I both decided we wouldn't post pictures of the overall nursery for safety reasons, but we feel comfortable enough showing you some of the ideas we have in mind.  :)
Right now we're currently cleaning out the room to get ready to paint.  Then Matt will be building a window seat flanked by bookshelves. The window seat will also double as a toy chest.  Here's a rough idea of what we're thinking...
For the walls, I'm loving board and batten in white with the aqua color on top.   Similar to this hallway...
It's a huge project... but it'll be a labor of love...well until the actual "labor"... ha.
There's sooo much to do...so little time!

  1. I can't wait to see I know it's going to be awesome! I'm slow, what's unsafe about showing the room pics?

  2. Thanks Dani! We're just weary about posting details of the house... location, layout...etc. We just don't want a blueprint of our home (and especially the baby's room) out there for the public to see. :)
