Mohu Review!

I was pleasantly surprised by all the feedback I received on the Cutting The Cord... our cable cord that is!  Many of you already made the cut...while others are still contemplating!  Well, as I stated in that post, we decided to go ahead and get rid of our cable (and DVR...!) and just subscribe to Netflix and Hulu Plus.
I also mentioned the new product we were introduced to called the Mohu Leaf.  It's an indoor HDTV antenna that pulls local channels for free!

We paid $39.99 (free shipping) from their website  it arrived in a few days and installation was a breeze!  Simply plug it into the cable outlet and hang on the wall.  They say to move it around  to get the best picture...we only moved ours once because 1/52 channels was a bit digitalized    And yes...you read right...52 channels were picked up!

The box contained the option of hanging on the wall with push pins or on the back of the tv with velcro stickers.  We chose the push pins.   We hung it just behind the tv and looking right at...you can't see it!   The picture itself is crystal clear!!  It's crazy how we're getting quality HD from an antenna!
(Apologies for the grainy cell-phone pictures!)
Yay!  I can finally watch Good Morning America again!
From upstairs, you can see where we placed the Mohu Leaf... Still, it's not an eye-sore.

And for those of you who didn't believe how thin it was... it's literally paper thin!!
We'd like to purchase a second one for the guest room upstairs now.  We're in the process of revamping it...so once we get all the electronics wired in, you better believe this will be a feature!

  1. Do you still need that converter box that converts into digital that everyone needed to buy if they didn't have cable? (I'm not sure if that's just a local thing or not.) or does this possibly replace it as a HD version? I am very intrigued...if only it weren't for football...

    1. I should also mention that it picks up those digital stations for a lot of the channels as well. So.. besides channel 5 we also get 5.1 and 5.2 One is an actual local weather channel.

  4. I will definitely be checking this product out. We have an HD antenna but it doesn't pick up CBS. I was heartbroken when I had to stop watching Young and the Restless (the old lady in me). LOL!
